Dearest Attendees,
We would like to deeply apologize for the problem with online ticketing from the 92YTribeca website. For those of you who did not get in to the event on an oversold ticket, contact us at thethirdfloorpresents@gmail.com. We'll take you out for a beer, or a movie. Or better yet, we'll add you to the list at our next event. And please feel free to voice your concerns to Cristina at 92YTribeca.
With All Our Love,
THE THIRD FLOOR
p.s. we're already planning the next event. And this time it's cash only, with tickets sold at the door or in advance at many of New York's finest record shops. We've learned our lesson, i.e. don't trust the internet, or anything you don't do yourself.
XOXOXO!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

NIGHT OF THE WICKER MAN

NIGHT OF THE WICKER MAN
Friday, October 30th 2009
“The Citizen Kane of Horror Films”
-Cinefantastique
Join The Third Floor and 92YTribeca for a very special screening of Robin Hardy’s original 1973 cult horror masterpiece “The Wicker Man.” A devout Christian, Sgt. Howie (Edward Woodward), officer of the West Highland police force, is summoned to Summerisle, an isolated island off the Scottish coast to investigate an anonymous report of a missing girl. Brusquely greeted by the island’s townsfolk, Sgt. Howie is forced to seek out Lord Summerisle (played by Hammer Horror legend Christopher Lee), and finds himself trapped in a world of ancient folklore, pagan rituals, and the landlord’s lustful daughter (Swedish screen sensation Britt Ekland).
Director Robin Hardy will be present for a Q & A session after the 7pm screening and will be screening teaser footage from his Wicker Man re-imagining The Wicker Tree featuring Christopher Lee that just wrapped principle photography this summer. And expect many more special guests for this rare screening!
